Are You in Compliance with the Life Safety Code?

Dade Moeller Training Academy is helping companies comply with NFPA 101 Life Safety Code

"NFPA" is the National Fire Protection Association

By: Rod Briscoe

We have noticed in the last few years an increase in OSHA citations (and fines!) related to organizations’ violations of the NFPA Life Safety Code (NFPA 101).

Many specific regulations in OSHA’s general industry standard come from the NFPA standard, which establishes facility occupancy limits and requirements for exits, alarm systems, and emergency response drills, to name a few. And some companies are getting into trouble when they “re-purpose” buildings or offices and fail to consider the implications under the Life Safety Code.

To prevent this from happening, smart organizations are working with Dade Moeller to bring that NFPA 101 expertise into their organizations, either by training their own employees to perform NFPA reviews and audits, or by using us as an external third party to perform reviews of their current, re-purposed, or new facilities.

We have the expertise to provide your organization with this training at our Dade Moeller Training Academy, or to be your third-party reviewer.

Please call us to see how we can help you with either approach! Our corporate HQ is at 509-946-0410, and our Training Academy is at 800-871-7930.

Even a seemingly minor Life Safety Code violation can have devastating consequences!

The Dade Moeller Training Academy has long been recognized as one of the foremost providers of education and training on a complete range of radiological and occupational safety topics.
