NEPA Analysis & Documentation

Dade Moeller is involved with the development of environmental documentation, in the form of Environmental Impact Statements (EISs) or Environmental Assessments (EAs), to comply with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969 and the Council on Environmental Quality regulations that implement NEPA. We have consistently demonstrated our ability to help Federal agencies fulfill their NEPA obligations. For example, we have:

  • Served as project managers and deputy project managers on multiple EISs and EAs;
  • Performed modeling and technical impact analyses for radiological and non-radiological health effects, air quality, transportation, cumulative impacts, and accident analyses;
  • Estimated socioeconomic and land use impacts for EISs with large regional coverage;
  • Served as EIS chapter leads, lead scientists, and lead analysts;
  • Provided NEPA training for the Health Physics Society;
  • Planned and supported public scoping meetings and public hearings;
  • Participated in the development of responses to public comments;
  • Served as senior NEPA reviewers; and
  • Provided professional editorial and production services to ensure compliance with all NEPA requirements.

We understand that as agencies have had to reduce budgets and shift priorities, it has become increasingly important for them to comply with NEPA in a timely and cost-efficient manner. We are meeting these quality and efficiency challenges by expanding our experience base, maintaining our lead in technical expertise, and utilizing the latest technology, such as state-of-the-art environmental transport and fate models, in our work. As a result, we are very successful at ensuring on-time and in-budget support for all phases of the NEPA process, including early scoping and planning; baseline and accident analyses; radiological and chemical risk assessments; land use and impact evaluation; and social and economic analyses.
