Sample Analysis

With a continued commitment to assisting you with your radiation safety program, Dade Moeller’s Radio-Analytical Laboratory can provide you with defensible analyses for many different types of radioactive and/or potentially radioactive samples. Using state-of-the-art instrumentation including liquid scintillation and gamma counting technology, we can achieve detection limits and make isotopic determinations consistent with nationally recognized standards. Types of samples analyzed by our Laboratory include:

Our staff understands the importance of rapid turnaround of results that are required to manage a radiation safety program. Sample analysis is generally begun the same day the samples arrive with an average turn around time of one (1) week. Upon completion, the Laboratory will provide a complete report that details the analytical results. Information in these reports is client-specific and can be tailored to fit the needs of your program. Expedited sample analysis can be arranged by contacting the Laboratory. All elevated results will be immediately reported via email or phone. Reports are available in Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) by email upon request. All hard-copies of reports will be mailed via U.S. Postal Service.

To send samples for analysis, please follow the instructions below:

  • Please complete our Sample Chain of Custody Form
  • Print the form and include with all samples to be analyzed.
  • Please complete our Method of Payment Form. This form is attached to the Sample Chain of Custody Form listed above. The Laboratory accepts payment by purchase order and credit cards.
  • Please contact us if you have specific questions about shipping samples to the laboratory.
  • NOTE: Liquid samples must be sent in an approved leak proof container. Please contact us for more information.
