Mantooth becomes 19th Dade Moeller employee to be honored as Fellow
Senior Health Physicist [radiation protection scientist] Daniel S. Mantooth has been named to the 2011 Fellow Class of the Health Physics Society. This special honor recognizes Mantooth’s significant contributions to the profession of health physics. He becomes the 19th Dade Moeller employee to have earned this prestigious award.
A certified health physicist, Mantooth has more than 30 years of experience in occupational and radiological safety and waste management. He has provided staff and consulting support to the U.S. Department of Energy, U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and commercial power operations. His key areas of expertise include occupational and radiological safety program management, development, implementation, and assessment. Mantooth’s technical strengths include laboratory occupational safety (laser safety, chemical hygiene), radiological engineering and design review, and safety aspects of decontamination and decommissioning. Currently, he is managing Dade Moeller’s offices in Oak Ridge, Tenn., and Augusta, Ga.

Mantooth was honored at an Awards Dinner held in conjunction with the Annual Meeting of the Health Physics Society on Tuesday, June 28, 2011, in the Grand Ballroom of the West Palm Beach, Fla., Convention Center.
