This course is comprised of seven didactic lectures to cover topics encountered on daily basis in a nuclear medicine laboratory. You will gain knowledge and insight on gamma cameras, SPECT, shielding and radiation safety, positron emission tomography, preparing for an audit, nuclear medicine cameras, and dose calibrators and thyroid uptake units.
Discussions, real-life clinical and instrumentation examples, student participation, and adequate time for Questions and Answers will help reinforce your understanding of the material presented.
Course Schedule: This course is scheduled to be taught on Saturday's at one of our training facilities. A schedule is currently being formulated. The course also can be scheduled on any day of the week, and at locations near you.
This course is designed for technologists in nuclear medicine but also is of great benefit to hospital personnel, medical residents in nuclear medicine, students of nuclear medicine technology programs, and department administrators. Representatives of the nuclear medicine industry, such as sales personnel and engineers, also will benefit from this course.
